Fashion Show for No Oppression, was Fashionably Impressive!
Local “models,” and onlookers gathered on Saturday, November 10, 2018, to view the new and unique clothing collection from No Oppression. Every little turn on the catwalk was a step closer to getting this new line up and running!
No Oppression is a new local company that aims to reduce clothing waste by up-cycling. They use earth friendly ink, go thrifting to find gently used clothing and turn them into clothes with a message. Stay tuned for the website launch where you can find similar items to the ones pictured below with messages important to us all!
The Carrot Mob strikes again, this time hitting Tama Cafe!
Tama cafe was mobbed by a bunch of hungry vegans this past Monday evening, November 5, 2018. From 5 – 7 pm UNCW vegan students along with some of Wilmington’s finest vegan family, came to enjoy some delicious vegan wraps, sandwiches, coffees, teas, smoothies and sweets at Tama Cafe. This was a special carrot mob because half of the proceeds from the event went to support our UNCW vegan community. So a very warm thank you to all who came out and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next Carrot Mob!
